Book a session

Gender Reveal Photographer in OKC

The reveal lasts seconds. The reactions last longer. We cover the setup, the anticipation, and the faces the moment the color shows.

Book Your Session

What to Expect at Your Gender Reveal Session

Sessions stand alone or pair with a maternity session. We photograph details and decor first, shoot couple and bump portraits before guests arrive, then take a marked angle for the pop — box, balloon, confetti, or powder.

Coverage includes candid reactions, couple portraits, and group frames while energy is high. Full-group first, while kids still cooperate; smaller combinations after. We do not stop the reveal for a reset unless you ask.

Editing keeps true colors in decor and clothing with natural skin tones. Galleries are announcement-ready, with download and print rights included.

How Booking Works, Step by Step

Here's exactly what happens from the first message to the gallery in your inbox.

You reach out

Send the date, rough location, and reveal method. A short note is enough. We reply promptly with availability and pricing for that date.

We talk through the plan

Before anything is booked, we walk the details: guest count, reveal method, whether you want couple portraits before the crowd. This is where we catch the misses — sun angle at 6pm, where a balloon actually floats, who's holding the confetti cannon so they're not in every frame.

You reserve the date

A signed agreement and retainer hold the date. We confirm amount and balance timing when you inquire. Once that's done, the date comes off the calendar.

We scout and prep

We confirm location, arrival time, and the weather backup. A few days out you get a short note: where to meet, what time to be ready, and what we handle so you don't.

Session day

We arrive early for details and decor before guests show. Then anticipation, the reveal, and reactions. You don't direct anyone — we cue positions and keep the timeline moving.

Your gallery

Edited images land in a private online gallery with download and print rights included. Turnaround timing is confirmed when you book.

Plan Your Shoot

What the 45 Minutes Actually Looks Like

Most gender reveal sessions run 45 to 60 minutes. Here's how that time gets used.

  1. First 10 minutes — Details and decor

Cake, balloons, signage, the table you staged. We shoot it while it's still untouched — before kids lean on the cake and somebody moves the favors.

  2. Next 10 minutes — Just the two of you

Couple and bump portraits while the light is usable and guests haven't arrived. If you're pairing this with a maternity session, this is the overlap block — we don't squeeze it in after the pop.

  3. Next 5 minutes — Guests arrive

Candids as people show up, hug, and guess. We stay out of the hugs and shoot through them — posed greetings lose the good frames.

  4. The reveal — 30 seconds

Two jobs at once: the reveal itself and your faces. Continuous burst from a pre-marked spot. We don't walk the perimeter mid-pop looking for a better angle — that angle was chosen before anyone lined up.

  5. Last 15 minutes — The aftermath

Group shots, family combinations, then loose candids while everyone's loud and off-script. Full-group first, while a four-year-old still cooperates — smaller combos after.

Common Questions

What if it rains?

Oklahoma weather changes fast. If the forecast turns, we reach out ahead of the session and either move to a covered location or shift you to the next open date. Your retainer moves with the date when we reschedule. Wind is the bigger problem for balloons and powder — we flag that in the planning call and pick a reveal method that still photographs if gusts show up.

We don't know what we're doing. Do you help plan the reveal?

Yes. Tell us what you have in mind and we tell you what photographs cleanly and what fights the camera. Balloon boxes and cake cuts are forgiving. Powder cannons need open space and a clear wind direction. Confetti needs a second shooter angle or you lose faces. Pets in bandanas work if someone is assigned to hold the leash during the pop — otherwise the frame is empty grass. We settle this a week out, not on the lawn.

What if the reveal doesn't go as planned?

Balloons drift, cannons misfire, cakes open the wrong color. We keep shooting through the failure and the recovery. We don't stop the reveal for a reset unless you ask. The blank stare, the double-take, the laugh after — those frames are usually the ones that get printed.

How many photos do we get?

A curated gallery of fully edited images in a private online gallery with download and print rights. Gallery size depends on session type — ask when you inquire. We deliver the full edit — nothing held back for a later upsell.

Can we bring guests? How many?

Bring who you want. Tell us the headcount when you inquire. Under ten guests, we shoot from inside the circle. Larger backyard parties get a second angle staked before anyone arrives so the group shot doesn't steal the reveal window. We confirm comfortable coverage limits for your group when you book.

Can we combine this with a maternity session?

Yes — that's the most common booking pair. Couple and bump portraits happen first, before guests arrive, while the light is still easy. Then we move into the reveal once everyone is there. One timeline, one booking. If you're pairing this with a maternity session, say so when you inquire and we map both.
