Fresh 48 sessions are documentary in spirit. We photograph your baby's first day or two: meeting siblings, first swaddles, tiny hospital bracelets, and quiet moments with parents still riding the adrenaline of birth.
Sessions are short and gentle, usually 45 to 60 minutes. We schedule around hospital visiting rules and your recovery pace. We use available light and keep equipment minimal so the room stays calm.
Images are edited naturally with true-to-color skin tones. You receive a focused gallery for announcements, memory books, and sharing with family who could not be there in person.

How soon after birth do you come?
Within 48 hours — usually day one or two in the hospital or birth center. Text us when labor starts or right after delivery so we can meet visiting-hours rules and your recovery pace.
What if we are exhausted or guests keep walking in?
Sessions stay 45–60 minutes and documentary. We work around nurses, feeding, and family in and out of the room. If you need five quiet minutes, we step into the hallway and come back — we do not stage a magazine set in a recovery room.
Will the photos look clinical under hospital lights?
Hospital lighting is mixed and unflattering if you fight it. We use available light, stay close, and edit for natural skin tones — not a cold blue cast and not an orange Instagram filter. The room looks like the room; baby looks like baby.
Can we add an in-home newborn session later?
Yes. Fresh 48 captures the hospital chapter; an in-home newborn session covers the quieter first weeks at home. If you want both, say so when you inquire and we hold the newborn window while dates are still flexible.
What do we need to prepare?
Almost nothing. A cleaned bassinet edge and consent for us to be on the floor near outlets is enough. Skip full hair and makeup stress — these frames are about the first hours, not a styled shoot.
